“Creating and managing technology-based companies: success stories”

Often people who have an idea to create a technology-based company face problems in carrying it out: what are the necessary steps to set up a company? How do you manage this type of company? To answer these questions and more, the July 22@Update Breakfast will feature three experts on this topic who have started up technology-based companies that are in different steps of growth. First of all, Carlos Guzmán producer of Wake Studios, created only one year ago, will present his experience and the main problems he found during this first period. Mr. Carlos Hernández, managing director of iContainers, will speak about how he is managing his company, which in two and a half years has seen strong growth in the Spanish market and is now looking to consolidate this growth through internationalization. The second speaker will be Mr. Carlos Puente, professor at the UPC, co-founder of Fractus and author of more than 30 international patents. He will speak about his success story, explaining the process he has carried out to create and consolidate a pioneering company that designs fractal antennas in Barcelona.
