Barcelona holds 2nd APTE General Assembly

On Friday 18 June, the 2nd APTE General Assembly took place in Barcelona, organized by 22@Barcelona. During the Assembly, in addition to naming a new Executive Committee, new members were approved for a total of 81.  This new Executive Committee is made up of 12 members, headed by Felipe Romera as president and Josep Miquel Piqué, managing director of 22@Barcelona, as vice-president.

APTE reaches a total of 81 members and affiliates

During the event, one park was given status as a full APTE member: the Fuente Álamo Technology Park, and another, the Biopol’H Consortium, joined the Association as a member.

The Biopol’H Consortium is a biocluster promoted by the Government of Catalonia and located in l’Hospitalet de Llobregat, in which a number of institutions from the Catalan scientific, business and educational arenas participate, that aims to become a new research platform in two main sectors: biomedicine and health sciences. The main objective of this consortium is to contribute bioscience solutions to biomedical innovation and clinical management by generating synergies between the healthcare, science, training and business arenas.
