BAU School of Design organizes a variety of activities, like workshops, conferences and exhibits related to type design and its applications in editorial design and other areas of research and experimentation.

The aim of these activities is to offer a global view of the design world in general and of the use of typography in different fields of design, as well as generating research and experimentation in a highly specialized but wide-reaching field like typography and its application in all areas of design.

During these Symposiums, you will find a selection of the most prestigious typographers and designers in a week of cultural, educational and experimental activities focusing on the design, creation and use of typography.

The large number of participants that will give workshops and conferences includes national and international professionals like David Quay (Holland), Verena Gerlach (Germany), Adeline Mollard (Germany), Onlab Studio (Germany), Yomar Augusto (Brazil / Holland), Dvein Studio (Bcn), Copyright Studio (Bcn), and the Spanish premiere presentation of the Type Directors Club (NY) and Art Directors Club Europe 2009 award-winners.
