The Spanish Electrotechnical Association which this year celebrates its 80th anniversary, and the Catalan Electrotechnical Foundation have established an office at 22@Barcelona, in carrer de Pamplona 92-94, and anticipate opening for business on 1 February 2010.
The Spanish Electrotechnical Association (AEE) is a non-profit organisation whose main purpose is the development and promotion of training, as well as advanced electrotechnology services between businesses, professionals, associations and other foundations related with the electrotechnology sector. Another primary goal of the organization is to boost knowledge about electricity applications.
The Association, which was founded in 1930 and celebrates its 80th anniversary this year, said: “Entering fully in the 21st century after 80 years of existence demands a modernisation of our facilities and above all a framework of technological reference such as 22@Barcelona”.
Its associate businesses include collaborating entities such as the Metal Confederation; the Catalan Association of Energy, Air Conditioning and Cooling Technicians (ACTECIR); GGE; the Association of Technical Industrial Engineers of Barcelona (CETIB); CETIM; APDI; AGEM and other leading sector organisations.
The AEE is characterised by the specific training activities adapted to the needs of the electricity sector it develops and runs. It is currently heading the Electra Project, aimed at promoting the inclusion of women in the electricity job sector.
The AEE organises conferences and technical visits and acts on commission from the Catalan Energy Institute (ICAEN) in managing the rental of energy instrumentation. It participates in producing online publications related with the world of electrotechnology and prepares reports on matters where its opinion is required.
