This month’s 22@Update Breakfast will focus on financing innovation as one of the key elements in knowledge economy.  Participants will include the Comisión del Mercado Nacional de Valores (CMNV), among others.

"Innovation, Scalability and Financing markets”

Thursday, 28th January 2010 from 08:30am to 10:00am at the Edifici Diagonal 197, floor 14. Metro L1: Glòries. Bus: 6, 7, 92, 192. Tram T4: Glòries. Bicing: 152, 154. Parking on 101, Llacuna St.

Financing innovation is one of the key elements in knowledge economy. Entrepreneurial projects with high scalability will have better opportunities to receive financing throughout all stages of expansion.

At this Breakfast we will have the opportunity of listening to Mr. Blas Calzada, the Chair of the Assessment Board for IBEX35 and the former chair of the CNMV for the presentation of his book “la encrucijada económica de España” (The crossroads of Spanish economy), in which he studies the key issues of the classical economic model.

Besides, bringing structured markets into the financing of innovative companies opens up a whole new range of opportunities for scalability. After the experience of the AIM in London and NASDAQ in USA, the Mercado Alternativo Bursátil (MAB) offers new possibilities that are already available in Spain. Mr. Blas Calzada will analyse the experiences of this market and the new horizons for 2010.
