The Showcase Awards presentation ceremony will be held on Sunday 14 February, on the eve of the Mobile World Congress. Representatives from Taipei, Barcelona, Chicago, Cáceres, Oeiras, Sant Cugat, Eindhoven, La Selva and Stockholm will announce the winners of the nine Showcase award categories.

In a festive atmosphere, the finalists from each city will be presented and the winners announced. In the case of Barcelona, the list of finalists is as follows:

1.    Urban Traffic Sensor System
2.    Autonomous Sensors to monitor Garbage Capacity in Urban Dumpsters
3.    Autonomous Sensors for the Intelligent Management of Forested Lands and Green Zones
4.    T-City Friedrichshafen
5.    Urban Digital Conductor

The ceremony will be held on the new ESADE Creapolis campus at Sant Cugat de Vallès.
Before the ceremony, at 3pm, there will be a presentation and tour of the town of Sant Cugat for all participants who would like to go.

The idea of the Showcase awards is to resolve some of the most urgent challenges facing cities: social inclusion, digital tourism, water management, the automation of urban services, an intelligent lifestyle, environmental solutions, public participation, health care, mobility, etc.
