UPDATE OCTUBRE / UPDATE OCTUBRE /OCTOBER UPDATE |

In October and the second half of September, 22@Barcelona participated in a number of national and international events in order to promote the district.
To do this, 22@Barcelona first traveled to Poznan (Poland) to work on the ACRE study, which focuses on creative knowledge and competitiveness in European metropolitan regions including the district. Later, they visited Crete in order to promote the 22@ Media cluster at the 2009 Annual Partnering Event (APE), which brought together experts in the Media sector from around the world. The next event took place in Jyväskylä (Finland), with a presentation of the 22@ clusters experience at the TCI Annual Global Conference. This conference is a meeting point for professionals, policy-makers, researchers and business leaders working in the fields of competitiveness, regions and clusters. Finally, 22@Barcelona, with Biocat, traveled to Dublin (Ireland) to attend the 2009 MedinIreland fair, which has become the top fair for the Medical Technology sector due to the fact that Ireland has been a model of high growth in this sector over the past years, and where they held more than 18 interviews with companies in Ireland’s bio sector.
22@Barcelona also participated in two real estate fairs to attract investors. First, the ExpoReal fair in Munich, which is one of the most important real estate promotion events in Europe, and later Barcelona Meeting Point.
Furthermore, in October, 22@Barcelona also presented positive conclusions from the evaluation report on the 22@CreaTalent pilot program, which was carried out over the past school year at educational centers in the district and aims to implant the project in other neighborhoods in Barcelona.
Finally, the number of new companies in the district is growing every month. The latest to move to the district have been the Melon District student residence hall, media companies Abacus and Bestv, and the Open University of Catalonia Research Center.

The first action was to present the Barcelona Economic Triangle at the ExpoReal fair in Munich, one of the most important real estate fairs in Europe, held 5-7 October.
Next year they will do the same in the French market at the MIPIM fair in Cannes, from 16 to 19 March.
