The event brought together company directors and institutional
representatives based in Spain with a connection with the USA and
related to the innovation and technology sectors and allowed business
opportunities and points in common between the two countries to be
identified.
Participants at the second edition of the
IN22@ included the Honourable Mr
Greggory D. Crounch, Consul General of the
USA in Barcelona, with jurisdiction in Catalonia, Aragon, the Balearics and Andorra since August 2009; Mr
Josep Miquel Piqué, Managing Director of 22@Barcelona; and representatives of the
American Chamber of Commerce in Spain.
Held on 19 November at the
Hotel ME in 22@Barcelona, the get-together also served to initiate, resume or intensify the relationship between local institutional representatives and the North American community living in or passing through Barcelona.
This initiative is part of the “
Good Will Ambassadors” programme, a network of professionals from different countries who collaborate with 22@Barcelona to connect and retain international talent.
What is IN22@?IN22@ (22@ International Network) is an initiative aimed at intensifying relationships between local professionals with professionals from international communities living in or passing through the city. The get-togethers are held three times a year, entirely in English and are informal in nature.
As well as the face-to-face get-togethers, the programme has a virtual space on the
Linkedin platform where professionals who have take part in any of the events can continue to interact and strengthen their bonds.
