In August 6th, Deputy Mayor of Barcelona and Town Councillor in charge of Finance and Economic Promotion and President of 22@Barcelona, Jordi William Carnes, presented the latest update in the restaurant guide at 22@Barcelona under the title ‘Feeding Innovation' , which has over 200 establishments.
The presentation was held at the restaurant
Casa Pepe 22@, located in the
Interface building, one of the most emblematic buildings of the innovation district.
22@Barcelona is incorporating its bars, restaurants and hotels in
Google Maps in order to facilitate access to company workers located at
22@Barcelona.
Food service at 22@Barcelona is diverse and of high quality, it contains a number of 261 establishments, from which 188 are restaurants; 52, bars; and the rest, 21, hotels with restaurants.
The variety of cuisine is one of the charms of the
gastronomic offer at the 22@Barcelona. One of most common types of cuisine is seasonal products cuisine, representing 23%, followed by the home-made cuisine with 16%, Italian restaurants with 13% and traditional places specialized in seafood with 10%. The remaining 28% is based on other kinds of specialities such as all-you-can-eat buffets, the ‘sandwicherias’, tapas bars, ‘llesqueries’ or South-American cuisine, among others.
The food services at the district, traditionally located at the shopping centres of
Las Glorias and
Diagonal Mar, at the Poblenou Avenue and the Olympic Port, are starting to spread around the area of the Media and ICT clusters and around the area of Llull with Selva de Mar due to ongoing increase of companies and workers.
