Friday June 20, 2008, from 9:30 am to 1:30 pm at Foment del Treball (Via Laietana, 32-34, pral., Barcelona).
The organizers of the symposium, Bax & Willems Consulting Venturing and IDOM, will give an overview of the focus and methodology of Open Innovation.

The symposium will center on Open Innovation, a renewed vision for managing business development and R&D&i based on opening technology, ideas and resources that come from internal sources in the company to external users, and searching for external solutions to internal needs. Open Innovation seeks to maximize return on the total investment in product development and R&D&i by allowing those who can generate the most value from them to exploit each innovation.

The symposium’s co-organizers will give an overview of the focus and methodology of Open Innovation. The symposium will also include presentations from four companies in the Water (Cetaqua - Grupo Agbar), Energy (Endesa Network Factory), Lens (Indo) and Automotive (Zanini) sectors, who will present case studies showing how they have applied Open Innovation in each of their companies.
