The Barcelona Graduate School of Economics offers the second Barcelona Clusters Summer School (BCSS 2008) from June 30th to July 11th, 2008 and is directed by Emiliano Duch, one of the pioneers in cluster development worldwide.
The summer school is designed for professionals working in international, national and regional development agencies, policymakers in the field of economic development, specialized consultants and graduate students specializing in regional development wishing to acquire a strong theoretical background on clusters and regional competitiveness and/or challenge their theoretical knowledge with real cases. The courses are taught in English and cover from the conceptual framework to best practice examples on Cluster Development Policies and Cluster Strategy and Management. Rigorous theoretical courses conducted by well-known academics are combined with leading practitioners’ experiences from across the world in different economic settings (national-regional, developed-transition economies…).
