"Innovation in companies has become a fundamental pillar of economic growth, in addition to being a way to stand out and create new lines of business. Public administrations recognize this fact and, as a result, are designing and executing programs and policies to help turn ideas into projects. In this month’s 22@Update Breakfast we will try to explain how to find public financing opportunities for innovative projects as well as the main trends in this field. On one hand, we will have Mr. David Esteban, an expert who will explain current trends in public aid and financing for innovative projects and the main sources that exist. On the other, we will present the experiences of two companies located in 22@Barcelona: Catalan Encyclopedia Group, in the publishing sector, and Dirección Creativa, recent start-up specialized in design-based innovation, who will explain how they have taken advantage of these public financing opportunities in order to accelerate and intensify the strategic development of their businesses.
