Saturday February 2, 22@Barcelona participated in the 2008 Carnival in Poblenou.
Over 100 girls and boys from Poblenou came by the
Centre de Barri (Rambla del Poblenou, 49) where they designed and put together costumes, or accessories for those who were already dressed up, made of recycled materials and balloons. Afterwards they went to the
Unió Market (Plaça Unió, 25) to get made up.
Once they had their costumes and makeup, a lot of the children had their photo taken at the Market to remember the day. You can see all the photos taken that morning
HERE.
The costumes were made of plastic containers, egg cartons, clothes scraps or recycled CDs, and were completed with fun accessories and balloon hats.
22@Barcelona, once again, wanted to participate in and foster educational and cultural activities in the Poblenou neighborhood.
