The Media-TIC building will be the connection node between the Media and the ICT space of 22@Barcelona, a meeting point between companies and professionals. The Media-TIC building, promoted by the Consorci de la Zona Franca and the 22@Barcelona society is located in the 22@Barcelona district, between Roc Boronat and Sancho de Àvila streets, in the Parc Barcelona Media surroundings.
In this building, activities such as technology research, spreading and knowledge transfer and the creation of new companies will meet together with the housing of already consolidated companies or institutions related to technologies. Special emphasis will be also given to ground floor areas, where common services and communication spaces will be located to favour the connection among the different initiatives of the Parc Barcelona Media and its opening to the district.

It is a tool at the service of citizens and companies where the intensive and transparent use of the ICTs allows their spreading to the citizens and their integration into the companies. This is meant to be premises equipped with cutting-edge innovations as regards to ICT and located in a strategic area so that all kind of events can be celebrated (presentations, demonstrations, etc.). It is a place of interrelation among companies, and between them and the citizens, where the link is featured by the use of the ICTs.
- Spaces for entrepreneurs (MediaTIC incubator and Landing programme)
With the support of institutions such as the Innova Programme of the UPC, the LaSalle Innovation Park or Barcelona Activa, among others, the building will offer spaces for knowledge-intensive companies of new creation and in initial stages of fast growth.
The MediaTIC incubator will offer infrastructures and incubator or financing services aimed at companies of the media sector (audiovisual, production and digital effects, etc.), serving as a reference incubator of the Parc Barcelona Media, and also at Information and Communication Technology (ICT) companies. On the other hand, the Landing Programme will also offer incubator spaces and services for international business initiatives willing to settle down in Barcelona and to become related to the Catalan innovation system.
Entrepreneurs will see MediaTIC as an excellent environment with the necessary connections to emerge, consolidate and grow with quality and with a forward-looking approach.
