22@Barcelona sets up a new and different model of city to attract the emergent sectors of the global economy, strategic sectors in the international ranking of the metropolitan area.

On the one hand, this model promotes the international link between the Civil Service, the R+D institutions and companies and Technology transfer and the universities, fostering the international attraction of entrepreneurship to the companies and university training centres present in 22@Barcelona which work as an engine for the landing of foreign companies onto the district.

One of the specific strategic tools to facilitate the arrival of foreign companies in Barcelona is the LANDING Program.

LANDING is a high value strategic program that grants knowledge-intensive and technological business initiatives the access to the Spanish Innovation system.

LANDING offers a privileged platform: an international incubator at Barcelona's Innovation pole, one of the biggest European metropolises which is also the economic, cultural and administrative capital of Catalonia. This platform facilitates a fast access in the territory, and allows companies to grow in one of the most attractive markets in the world, without worrying about the arrival and the adaptation to the new environment

LANDING is leaded by two of the main Spanish technical universities: Innova Program (Technical University of Catalonia - UPC), La Salle Innovation Park and by 22@Barcelona, and has the support of CIDEM (Centre for Innovation and Business Development), COPCA (Consortium for the Commercial Promotion of Catalonia), Economic Promotion of Barcelona City Council and Barcelona Chamber of Commerce.
